A.G.I. is currently installing 1,400’ steel liners in two mineshafts, in Southern Saskatchewan. Both mine shafts are being installed concurrently and are strategically located in water bearing zones. Concrete pouring and blasting cycles have made maintaining our constructions schedule critical to the success of the project. Due to the ever-changing conditions underground, our team has had the opportunity to develop innovative technology and solutions to overcome numerous challenges. By accepting this project, our team agreed to implement an entirely new and improved safety program. The added underground hazards require extensive training and education, as well as a comprehensive hazard recognition and mitigation program. Our team has effectively maintained an excellent safety record throughout the duration of this project which started in the summer of 2014.
